Galapagos & Ecuador
Galapagos
Natural History Cruises (10 - 21 days)
The Galapagos Islands have long been famous for exotic, endemic wildlife. The diversity of nesting birds, iguanas, marine mammals, and the famous land tortoises are wonders to behold. The fact that humans are not perceived as a threat by these animals, allows us unparalleled opportunities to photograph and study them up close.
Our cruises utilize small, motor sailor yachts with capacities of 4 - 16 guests. This allows us more quality time on more islands and better rapport with our naturalist guides. We offer fixed departures for individuals or small groups, and yacht charters for larger groups.
Tourist Class Yachts: 8 - 12 guests, double cabins, shared bath every two cabins, salon - dining - meeting room, sun deck, all meals, and naturalist guide included. Deluxe Yachts: 6 - 16 guests, spacious double cabins with private bath, air conditioning, dining room, bar, sun deck, all meals and naturalist guide included. Please reserve your cruise early for the best dates. These trips are extremely popular!

Mainland
Ecuador is unique
because of the close proximity of different ecosystems. Join us
for weekly excursions to its jungles and mountains. From its lofty
snow capped volcanoes to the rich foliage of its Amazon Basin, there
is something for everyone. The Corridor of the Volcanos is home
to the Quechua and their craft communities. The jungles belong to
a variety of Indians who have only recently met the encroaching
realities of Western Civilization.

Cuyabeno
Reserve Expedition (8 days)
For the more adventurous. This is a dugout canoe exploration of
a historical Indian hunting preserve. Now protected as a Reserve,
we camp under thatch roof shelters, sleep in hammocks, and hike
on old hunting trails. The Cuyabeno Reserve was and still is a sacred
hunting preserve for the Siona and Secoya Indians. As such, no human
encroachment has spoiled the rain forest habitat. Jaguars, tapirs,
ocelots, and peccaries still abound in the forest. The waters are
alive with exotic life such as caimen, manatee, piranha, and freshwater
dolphin. Departures every Sunday, all year.
